Blogging: it's gonna happen

So obviously my attention to this blog has been lax- but then again, the point of limes-please was always just to have a place to vent about crazy and/or unbearably boring stuff should I need it.

Now I'm about to get more specific. This summer I will be starting two new blogs through wordpress (sorry blogspot) to keep me focussed on some specific things. One will be on faith and the other on health, and I have a feeling that these two new blogs will prompt more venting on this blog...so all in all I should be writing online quite a bit more often in the months to come.

I just thought you might like to know.

Happy New Year!.....or, um.....SPRING!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
(Yes, clearly it's been a while since I posted last - but you were warned!)

So some exciting things have been going on in my little world. Excited to hear about them? Well of course you are- why else would you be reading this trash?

• My good Friend Lauren got ENGAGED! (Can you imagine getting married in college? I can't even imagine having a steady relationship in college, let alone planning an eternal one! Hats off to the lovely girl without commitment issues ;) )
• I have stepped in as Events Coordinator for DePaul Interfaith 
• I have simultaneously been becoming more comfortable with my Catholic roots and exploring modern Goddess worship (no one else gets the correlation either, don't worry about it) 
• I'm on twitter (which I update CONSTANTLY! That's right- be jealous! ;) )

annnnnnnd............ I know there's more but I can't think of anything else right now. 

And my Grandfather died. (And NO, I did NOT forget about that, it just didn't fit with the other exciting stuff is all.) Anyone who knows my family knows that he has been suffering ince my Granma passed- although I still don't know how to feel about him I do know that i'm glad he and the love of his life are finally reunited. 

Oh, and my sister is going to play volleyball at Hope College next year- how the hell did we both end up at RELIGIOUS institutions? Has God even met our parents? 

Well that's it for now kids- off to nurse a spiked hot chocolate while watching Bambi in bed (am I living the dream or what?)

Random Thoughts I've been Storing Up

-I want to have a dog and I want to name it Puppy.

-How can internet dating be considered giving up when the whole point of internet dating is to meet someone?

-Anytime I promise to stay away from the computer for any amount of time, I am LYING

-I mean, it's not like one would completely stop trying to meet men in day to day life (back on the internet dating topic)

-"Sex can wait, masturbate!" Is so fun to say and one of my favorite comedy sketches. unfortunately, it is  inappropriate to bust out at family dinner with your Grandmother. Even more unfortunately, I speak from experience.

-A girl (me) can only go so long without a boyfriend (getting some) before she explodes (in a negative way, not the fun way).

- I'm extremely insecure about trying e-harmony (can you tell??)

-I need a hug

Thoughts I just had

So... I can't believe I spent all that time posting pictures of really HOTT guys and you can't even see them now. Also I can't believe Demetri Martin made that list and Matt Damon did not.
Where are my priorities?

Anyway, my godmother's Nona died this week. She was well into her nineties and led a very fruitful and caring life, but details like that don't really help those grieving. My prayers are with the family, and I ask anyone reading this to ask whichever deity/greater reality you believe in to send a little pulse of hope and happiness to those grieving today. Thanks <3
